Overview
Our Multi Engine Rating package is specifically designed to advance your skills by training in a PA-30 Twin Comanche aircraft—a popular choice for multi-engine instruction due to its handling characteristics and reliability. This program focuses on the complexities of managing multiple engines, which is crucial for pilots aiming to expand their career opportunities in aviation.
Our Multi-Engine Rating package covers all the essential components of your training:
Benefit from 15 hours of dual flight instruction in a PA 30 Twin Comanche aircraft. This twin-engine aircraft is known for its reliability and performance, offering an excellent platform for training in multi-engine operations. These hours include hands-on training under the supervision of experienced instructors who will guide you through the nuances of handling more complex aircraft systems, including engine management, multi-engine maneuvers, and emergency procedures.
Receive 20 hours of comprehensive ground instruction that includes pre-flight and debriefing sessions. This instruction covers all the essential theories and regulations for multi-engine operations, focusing on the critical differences between single and multi-engine control, systems management, and emergency procedures. These sessions are designed to prepare you for the complexities of flying multi-engine aircraft and ensure you are well-versed in both practical and theoretical aspects.
The package includes the rental of a PA 30 Comanche for your FAA checkride, ensuring that you are tested in the same type of aircraft in which you trained. This consistency helps in demonstrating your competence in multi-engine flying to FAA standards, culminating in your certification. The checkride assesses your ability to safely and effectively operate multi-engine aircraft under various conditions.
Our Multi Engine package covers all associated costs to ensure a seamless training experience. This includes all landing fees, which can often vary and add up, especially in multi-engine training where more airports and different types of approaches are typically involved. Fuel surcharges are also included, protecting you from fluctuating fuel prices that can impact the overall cost of flight training. Additionally, the fees for your instructors, who are experienced multi-engine pilots, are covered. These instructors not only provide expert flying guidance but also mentor you through the complexities of operating a twin-engine aircraft. This comprehensive coverage of fees ensures that you can focus entirely on your training without worrying about variable costs.
Throughout your training, you will receive dedicated support from a Pilot Path Personal Engagement Manager. This tailored support ensures that your training journey is smooth and aligned with your career goals. Your manager will assist in scheduling sessions, addressing any concerns, and providing guidance on how to maximize your training experience. They also help manage your training timeline and financial planning, ensuring that you are making steady progress towards your certification.
Achieving a Multi Engine Rating is a critical milestone for any aspiring pilot. This certification opens the door to higher-level job opportunities in commercial and cargo aviation sectors where multi-engine aircraft are the standard.

I never thought pilot training was a realistic option until I was introduced to the Pilot Path team. They made the whole process so simple and easy to understand. Within a year I completed the first stage of commercial flight training and gained my private pilot licence all while working a full-time, self employed schedule and juggling family life. Highly recommend!
I always knew I wanted to become a pilot but never knew where to start. The guys at Pilot Path have shown me a route from start to finish and since joining last year I now have my PPL and am working towards a commercial licence.
I can’t recommend Pilot Path enough to anyone who is considering starting flying training! I was always eager to start my flight training, but as a student at SETU Carlow I was put off by the high prices associated. Pilot Path made everything easy to understand from day one and provided real clarity. Making monthly payments helped me realise that not only was this now accessible, but it really helped keep me on track with my training and ultimately led to me getting my license!
